Despite your best efforts, there will come a time when a client refuses to pay you for the legal services you provided to them.
The next question inevitably will be whether you should sue the client for payment. You and your firm worked hard for the client and, for whatever reason, the client has decided not to pay.
A lawsuit may be justified in some or all of those instances, but tread carefully. If you sue a client for fees, you should not be surprised to get a counterclaim for malpractice.
